The Fellows

Chair – Alice R. Snyder; Co-Chair – Bruce M. Wolf

The Fellows was established in 1968 by Carnegie Museum of Art Board member James L. Winokur, who with other Board members and friends was eager to help the museum find sources for acquiring major works of art for its collection. Under the leadership of James A. Fisher and Robert M. Frankel from 1970 to 2000, Harry A. Thompson II from 2000 to 2010, and now Alice R. Snyder and Bruce M. Wolf, the group has grown to include more than 150 members.

Fellows currently enjoy benefits such as private previews with the exhibition curators; annual trips to museums in other cities; visits to the homes of prominent collectors; lectures by artists, scholars, and other experts; and, most importantly, the knowledge that their tax-deductible gifts provide funds to further the work and the educational outreach of the Museum of Art, a world-class institution presenting exceptional art and programs to a wide audience locally, nationally, and internationally.

$1,500 annual membership; includes two people
