An-My Lê: On Contested Terrain

An-My Lê: On Contested Terrain is the first comprehensive survey of the politically charged work of photographer An-My Lê (American, born Vietnam, 1960). Featuring over 100 photographs, this exhibition presents seven of Lê’s series, providing insight into her evocative images that draw on a landscape tradition to address the complexity of war.

Counterpressures

The 83rd installment of Carnegie Museum of Art‘s Forum series presents a thematic group exhibition that addresses the present urgency of global warming. The exhibition features work by ten Pittsburgh–area artists who grapple with the current ecological present and its uncertain future.

A Pittsburgh Anthology

A Pittsburgh Anthology celebrates stories of creative life in Pittsburgh as prompted by Carnegie Museum of Art’s collections across time and media. This dedicated gallery explores these stories, relayed by a multitude of voices from inside and outside the museum. Each story will unfold on printed cards displayed near the artworks, which will be free for the taking and create an interactive experience as visitors move through the gallery.

Iconic: The Photographs of Charles “Teenie” Harris

This exhibition of photographs by Charles “Teenie” Harris celebrates some of the Hill District native’s most iconic images of Pittsburgh. Photographs from past exhibitions spanning a number of themes, topics, and histories—including Hair (2013), Civil Rights (2015) and Jazz from the Hill (2018)—will be featured in this installment.
