Calling all teens! Join the Youth Art Initiative (YAI) for Sustain|Ability, a teen-only day of clothing swaps, upcycling workshops for on-the-spot mending and creation, guided tours of our decorative arts and design exhibition, Extraordinary Ordinary Things, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., light refreshments, and more. Meet us in the Yellow Studio to explore ways to create an eco-friendlier community as well as learn more about YAI and FREE Teen Memberships at Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.

This event is free and open to all teens ages 13-18.

Mending 101: How to give your clothing new life

Join us during Sustain|Ability for Mending 101, a free workshop in the Hall of Architecture where you will learn how to sew up tears, sew on a button, and fix damaged areas. Bring clothes from your own wardrobe or learn how to fix items you found at the swap! There are two workshops, one at 12:30 p.m. and one at 1:45 p.m.; both sessions will be the same—please only register for one. Space is limited in each workshop; registration is required, complete the form below to reserve your spot!
