Story Saturday: Someone Builds the Dream

Bruce Galleries

Free with museum admission

Join us in the Ailsa Mellon Bruce Decorative Arts and Design galleries for an in-person story time with curatorial assistant Alyssa Velazquez! This month we'll be reading Someone Builds the Dream by Lisa Wheeler and illustrated by Loren Long followed by a making activity for children 12 and under led by teaching artist Jena Schieb.

This reading is made possible by Rocky Pond Books. To purchase past and present Story Saturday titles, checkout Carnegie Museum of Art Museum Store's online reading section.

About the Book
All across this great big world, jobs are getting done by many hands in many lands. It takes much more than ONE. Explore the many types of work, and all the skilled workers, who build our world—from the making of a bridge to a wind farm, an amusement park, and even the very picture book that we will be reading.
