Sounds for the Season: Roger Humphries and the RH Factor

Delight in the sounds of the season in the Hall of Architecture among the Carnegie Trees with a live musical performance by Pittsburgh jazz-legend Roger Humphries and the RH Factor! Gather together for one or all of the performances and enjoy a range of music celebrating all that the season exudes.
The group will perform in the Hall of Architecture between 1:30–3 p.m., no registration is required for these concerts and each set is free with museum admission.
About Roger Humphries
With various groups, Roger Humphries has performed at Carnegie Music Hall, the Village Gate, and the Apollo Theatre in New York. He has also played at the Bohemian Caverns and Shelly Manne’s Manhole in Los Angeles; the Penthouse in Seattle, Wash.; Pep’s Lounge and Showboat, Philadelphia; the Jazz Workshop, Boston; Ronny Scott’s in London, and many other places. Roger is rated by music critics as one of the most exciting percussionists in the business. He has provided the rhythmic beat for such greats as Ray Charles, Horace Silver, Richard “Groove” Holmes, Stanley Turrentine, James Moody, Lee Morgan, Dr. Billy Taylor, Benny Green, Lionel Hampton, Coleman Hawkins, Clark Terry, J.J. Johnson, Dizzy Gillespie, George Benson, Jon Faddis, Slide Hampton, Randy Brecker, Joe Williams, Milton Jackson, Jimmy Smith, Jimmy Witherspoon, Nathan Davis, Pete Henderson, Don Patterson, Gene Harris, Grant Green, George Harris, Freddie Hubbard, Bill Dogget, Jack McDuff, and a list of great musicians that goes on and on and on.
Together This Season
This year, visitors are invited to celebrate together this season at Carnegie Museum of Art! Make the museum your backdrop with Friends and Family Photoshoot, create a handmade gift inspired by art and enjoy holiday treats during Gift-Making Workshops, celebrate the end of the year with your team during one of our Out of Office Parties, and delight in live musical performances every Saturday from November 27 through December 18 during Sounds for the Season.
