Sounds for the Season: Hugo Cruz and the Caminos

Delight in the sounds of the season in the Hall of Architecture among the Carnegie Trees with live musical performances by Hugo Cruz and the Caminos!

The group will perform in the Hall of Architecture between 1:30–3 p.m. No registration is required to attend this concert, as it is free with museum admission.

About Hugo Cruz

Hugo Alexander Cruz Machado is a Cuban-born, award-winning, internationally renowned drummer and composer who has performed in South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Venezuela, and the United States. He is the leader of the group the Caminos, who have made appearances at the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival 2019, Fábrica de Artes in Havana, Cuba, Highmark First Night Pittsburgh 2020, Pittonkatonk Festival, City of Asylum, The Frick Museum, Musicalidades, Market Square, and Con Alma. The Caminos fuse rhythms and melodies of Afro-Cuban, Cuban, and American music, in an original contemporary expression that honors traditional Cuban form.

This year, visitors are invited to celebrate together this season at Carnegie Museum of Art! Make the museum your backdrop with Friends and Family Photoshoot, create a handmade gift inspired by art and enjoy holiday treats during Gift-Making Workshops, celebrate the end of the year with your team during one of our Out of Office Parties, and delight in live musical performances every Saturday from November 27 through December 18 during Sounds for the Season.
