Part of Light + Environmental Sustainability with Andrea Polli

Learn how the Carnegie “Cloud Factory” can generate ideas about data visualization and the environment.

In late January, artist Andrea Polli leads teams of Pittsburgh-based artists, designers, architects, scientists, environmentalists, teachers, and students in idea-generating workshops. Using our own power plant, the Bellefield Boiler, the teams assess factors like pollution, energy, weather, and climate. Their task: imagine new ways to visualize this information using light as the primary tool.

Stop by to meet these creative minds and hear about how public art and data visualization can engage communities with environmental issues!
