A Carnegie International Program

This season is all about being cozy, but that doesn’t have to mean staying at home. Join us for cookies and a movie!
Enjoy a family-friendly movie, and then head to the Cafe Carnegie for tea (or apple juice for the little ones) and cookies from our delicious cookie spread.

Buy Tickets

With purchase, you'll receive a voucher at the event to redeem for a cup of tea, or apple juice for tea-averse little ones, along with your choice of two cookies from our delicious cookie spread.

Following tea, Family Tea Time attendees will also be treated to a special tour of the Carnegie International and receive free admission to the museum for the day.

Pair the movie and tea time together, or enjoy either on its own. The screenings are free, with a changing program on each date.

The 2018 International transforms the museum’s theater into a cinematheque. Taking its name from the French, a cinematheque is a small film house or a film library. Libraries open up a world of knowledge to the public, and the International’s Cinematheque likewise brings to Pittsburgh worlds captured by filmmakers near and far. On four Saturdays, we invite children to a matinee with tea and cookies, and grown-ups to an evening screening followed by a FEAST prepared by a local chef. Each screening is cued to a theme: beauty, politics, children, and sound. Don’t let these words limit your imagination; rather, let them ask what each could possibly encompass.

Visit the Cinematheque program page for the full schedule of screenings.
