Draw, Paint, Print: Self-Portrait as Expression

$45 (Member: $35)

How do you see yourself? What aspects of your identity do you want to show to others? A self-portrait can convey your physical appearance as well as your ideas, emotions, and outlook on life. In this series of exploratory exercises and a final project, you’ll build your skills for a self-portrait that is a unique multi-media artwork that expresses the energy and personality you want to show to the world!

  • Take a virtual visit to see examples in our collection for inspiration
  • Experiment with watercolor trying out novel techniques for creating special effects and mixing colors
  • Go on a selfie spree creating images that really experiment with pose, angle, locations, and lighting
  • Use newly discovered ideas in your final project and create your self-portrait
