The Art Connection is Pittsburgh’s premiere art program for students in grades 5 through 9. Learn drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, culminating with a student exhibition at Carnegie Museum of Art. Entering its 90th year, The Art Connection combines big ideas and practical know-how to prepare young people for a world of visual information and creative problem-solving.

Five images, from left to right: the marble bust of a young man, a group of women and cherubs looking into a mirror, a person sowing seeds on a field, a hazy but colorful bridge with a city in the background, and a colorful face next to geometric shapes and lines.

Discover art from ancient times up to our contemporary moment. A prerequisite for becoming a docent at CMOA, this series only comes around once every few years.
