Tith Kanitha
Tith Kanitha (b. 1987, Phnom Penh; lives in Phnom Penh) graduated with a degree in interior design from Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh. Her sculptures, drawings, and videos focus on personal experience, collective memory, and her surrounding environment. Tith’s work has been exhibited locally and internationally, including the solo exhibitions Instinct, SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh, and Companions, French Cultural Center, Phnom Penh. Selected group exhibition include SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo; ASIA NOW: Paris Asian Art Fair, Paris; Today of Yesterday: The Return, Yamamoto Gendai, Tokyo; Rates of Exchange: Uncompared / Contemporary Art in Bangkok and Phnom Penh, H Gallery, Bangkok, and SA SA BASSAC, Phnom Penh; and Phnom Penh Rescue Archaeology: Contemporary Art and Urban Change in Cambodia, ifa, Berlin and Stuttgart. She was an artist-in-residence at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam; FIELDS II: On Attachments and Unknowns, Phnom Penh; Backer Foundation, Tokyo; FIELDS: An Itinerant Inquiry Across the Kingdom of Cambodia; and Bose Pacia Transparent Studio, New York.
